Stir Fried Pork With Chili

I love how there are so many chains from China opening stores down here! This is another Hunan chain with three outlets in Singapore already. I went for that lajiao chaorou above and it had just the right amount of salt and grease to keep it exciting without being excessive. No, the chili peppers weren't spicy, but the pork was easy to eat and shovel down rice with those salty black beans.

What's interesting is that they use a "Bamboo Chicken" tagline in China. I tried to find it on the menu before I realized that they weren't talking about stir-frying bamboo shoots with the chicken. Instead, I think they source the chicken from a bamboo forest, whereas here they use local kampung chicken instead, and it's listed on the menu as such. The important thing is that it's still tossed with intestines, which I will have to try next time.
