I passed by this little corner izakaya on my way back tonight and figured I'd stop in for a quick top-up (2 Chome-8-10 Sennichimae, 06-6630-6000). Those seseri chicken necks above sat in a perky ponzu sauce that went nicely with some booze, as did a baked eggplant and cheese item that I ordered. They also had a black fried rice on the menu that I closed with; it turned out to be more brown than black, and I think it was basically soy sauce instead of squid ink like I thought it might be. Nonetheless it did the job. It's nice to know that they are open until 4 AM, as well as another standing yakiniku across the street. Maybe next time I'll try those little oden street tents that I saw next to them.
