Lisbon Part 2

After getting a good night's sleep, we took a taxi into the city center. Our first stop was the Portuguese Official Soccer Jersey shop where I purchased a jersey with the name Renaldo and number 7 for both my husband and my son Winston. While I was waiting Buffi walked around and from there we made our way over to the massive plaza known as Praco do Comerico. The plaza is one of the largest in Portugal and backs up to the city harbor. Lisbon like Porto is also built on a series of hills so be prepared for a workout, but don't worry if you aren't able to walk because the city has a series of various modes of transportation to get you around from the taxis, tuk-tuks, trams, and funiculars you won't miss a thing. Given how hot it was and our limited time in the city we hired a 2-hour tuk-tuk ride and personal tour. Our tour guide was wonderful and gave us great insights into the cities history and everything you would want to know about the city. One fun fact about Lisbon is that near China town the best Chinese restaurants aren't the ones you will find on the street, but the ones that are out of people's apartments; however, you have to know someone who knows where they are because they are pretty secret. She also told us Lisbon has pretty great weather except from December to March where it can be pretty rainy. When we were finished she dropped us off at a great restaurant that serves Peri Peri Chicken. Which was absolutely fantastic! Afterward lunch, we walked over a few streets and caught a tram right up and through the city again as I was pretty determined to get a great tram photo. While we didn't go into any museums or do any shopping in Lisbon I feel like we were able to get a pretty great overview of the city.
