Another little bit of history disappeared today with the cessation of the Mount Cook Airlines Air Operating Certificate.

As from the 10th of December 2019 the Mount Cook ATR 72 aircraft are operating under the Air NZ Air Operating Certificate. 

The Mount Cook callsign will continue to be used in the meantime once a long term solution utilising alpha/numeric flight numbers which will see the use of ANZ and “New Zealand” deployed with the four digit 5xxx series for ATR72 flights.
