Barbecue was requested for lunch today, and this place was nearby (600 West Harbour Drive, 619-231-9680). I wasn't getting my hopes up given how much of a tourist trap it looked like; there were Top Gun logos and souvenirs around given that it was the filming location for the Great Balls of Fire scene. And surely enough, the meat was rather dry, be it the brisket, baby back ribs, or burnt ends. To be sure, there were some bits of fat here and there to give it a bit more excitement, but honestly, the only thing I liked were the fried pickles. The service was nice at least.
