I'm really, really surprised that most things that I've seen written about local food in Denver do not make more mention of "Mexican Hamburgers." See, the name is a bit of a misleading. It should probably be called a "Colorado Hamburger" since it's basically only available in Colorado. Nonetheless, this small chain serves Mexican Hamburgers (and their green chile is apparently quite famous), so I came down to an outlet for breakfast today.

So what the heck is that "hamburger'? Well, it has a hamburger patty inside, and the taste of this one here was beefy with a nice char on the sides. But it's shoved into a half-folded tortilla, making it more like an omelette than a burrito or burger. And then it's smothered in green chile. This shop had a hot or mild option, so I went for the former, which provided some heat. But the sauce was otherwise rather tasteless, and thus nothing like the wonderfully rich one at D'Corazon.
