Wormsloe
Last week when we went to Savannah, we had the opportunity to visit Wormsloe where the street lined with Oaks is of legendary status. It is the longest row of live Oak trees in the world. Noble Jones arriving with Oglethorpe established the Wormsloe Plantation as a military lookout to protect the colonist against the Spanish to the south in Florida. While today the house has deteriorated the house gave archeologist plenty of information on how people lived at that time. Today you can visit and interact with members of the National Park system or costumed actors who will offer a wonderful rich knowledge of the history of this estate. This estate is just one of the many wonderful things to do while in Savannah. On another note, we are off on another adventure. We are heading north to Chattanooga where we will be hanging out with a couple of families we met on our trip to get Ivy. These families have become such dear friends. I am grateful our girls can all grow up together. See you when I get back! Have a great weekend!
